a few little stories

Since I’ve been so busy with works and what-not, I can now only re-posting some of wonderful inspirational stories that I’ve collected.

That’s Not My Job
Author: Unknown

This is a story about four people: Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry with that, because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody have done.

Value Every Minute
Author: Unknown

To realize the value of one month: Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of one week: Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of one hour: Ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of one minute: Ask the person who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize the value of one second: Ask a person who has survived an accident.

To realize the value of one millisecond: Ask the person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics.

Time waits for no one.

Treasure every moment you have. You will treasure it even more when you can share it with someone special.

To realize the value of one year: Ask a student who has failed a final exam.

The Bible
Author: Unknown

A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning  of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and  told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful   wrapped gift box.

Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, “With all your money you give  me  a Bible?” and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He
had   not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care things.

When he arrived at  his father’s house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search his father’s important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears,  he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he read those   words, a car key dropped from an envelope

taped behind the Bible. It  had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had the sports  car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words…PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God’s blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?

A separate entrance for Hos’ I wonder if Las Vegas has thought about this…

Guess that means go somewhere else to die please.

Well crap! Some of my best friends are liquor heads.

Braised dork is especially delicious, but I ain’t so sure about the barboo shoots…

If there’s one thing we don’t need help with it’s…

controversy

Beberapa bulan terakhir nama Tianshi Watch semakin berkumandang d telinga para member MLM Tianshi.

  1. Sistem dasar bisnis dan skema, Anthony Steven
  2. Definisi dan praktik bisnis, Bravo
  3. Diskusi dari berbagai pihak, Kaskus
  4. Opini-opini, Budi Wijaya, Charles Christian, Masak0007, Ardianto
  5. Last but not least, rangkuman berbagai fakta, Tianshi Watch

warrior of the light, a manual…

Posted in in english with tags , , , on June 2, 2008 by mystic88

A beautiful and wonderful book by Paulo Coelho. I always stunned by the way he wrote.. Here, I would like to quote some of the book’s memorable passage.

For the Warrior there is no such thing as an impossible love.

He is not intimidated by silence, indifference, or rejection. He knows that behind the mask of ice that people wear, there beats a heart of fire.

This is why the Warrior takes more risks than other people. He is constantly seeking the love of someone, even if that means often having to hear the word “no”, retuning home defeated and feeling rejected in body and soul.

A Warrior never gives in to fear when he is searching for what he needs. Without love, he is nothing.

Sometimes the Warrior feels as if he were living two lives at once.

In one of them he is obliged to do all the things he does not want to do and to fight for ideas in which he does not believe. But there is another life, and he discovers it in his dreams, in his reading, and in his encounters with people who share his ideas.

The Warrior allows his two lives to draw near. “There is a bridge that links what I do with what I would like to do,” he thinks. Slowly, his dreams take over his everyday life, and then he realizes that he is ready for the thing he always wanted.

Then all that is needed is a little daring, and his two lives become one.

At the beginning of his struggle, the Warrior of Light stated “I have dreams”.

After some years, he realizes that it is actually possible to reach his goal; he knows that he will be rewarded.

At that moment, he feels sad. He knows about other people’s unhappiness, about the loneliness and frustation experienced by so much of humanity, and he does not believe that he deserves what he is about to receive.

His angel whispers: “Give it all up.” The Warrior kneels down and offers God his conquests.

That act of surrender forces the Warrior to stop asking foolish questions and helps him to overcome his feelings of guilt.

The Warrior know that no man is an island.

He cannot fight alone; whatever his plan, he depends on other people. He needs to discuss his strategy, to ask for help, and, in moments of relaxation, to have someone with whom he can sit by the fire, someone he can regale with tales of battle.

But he does not allow people to confuse this camaraderie with insecurity. He is transparent in his actions and secretive in his plans.

A Warrior of the Light dances with his companions, but does not place the responsibility for his actions on anyone else.

turning point

Posted in in english with tags , , on June 1, 2008 by mystic88

A turning point in your life maybe triggered by something insignificant. The moment that your life has completely changed its course, into something good or even worse. If you ever wonder what kind of life you are in now, perhaps it’s time for you to take a while, and retrace the steps of your life which has brought you to the very moment now.

Be grateful with what you are, and who you are now. If some of the moments in your life is not as you expect them to be, live from it, learn from it, then you can really appreciate the true meaning of it. There are moments in our lives when we know something’s changed. You wake up one morning and suddenly realize your life has changed. You might never realized it, but a turning point has taken its course and influenced your life (probably) forever.

Sometimes there is a long pause between one significant matter to another, and those moments easily slipped away from our cautious mind. Every single person in this universe, even though they realize it or not, must have at least one purpose in their life. Whether it’s good or bad, the same reasons for all of us to search our existence in this life is based on that purpose.

For me, a huge turning point has just happened recently. My meter in adequacy of a comfort life has suddenly raised, thanks to someone who has a very important role in my life. And suddenly all of the senses in me has raised, too. For example, I am now more appreciative of the constant ‘alarm’ from my parent to eat properly, or to sleep in commonly hours. I know that my life is about to change its course into a better one, and I am sure that everybody around me has given all the support I deserve.

A turning point maybe insignificant for some people, but as to properly balanced the swift changes, you need to know the ‘button’ that triggers it. I would like all of you dear readers to start taking notes in your commonly dull moments, take a breath, and seek for a new, positive way to move futher into your new lifes.

Changes might be the hardest thing to do, but it is not impossible. Open yourself to those you can trust, and ask for a guidance from whom you thought may help you to achieve your ideal course of life. Because once you’ve changed, and then you take a moment to look back at your turning point, you have become more mature, more self-dignified, more confident, and take that turning point into many turning points you might need for your future life-changing courses.

Find your own turning point now.
