for my parents…
The remnants of beaut and brawn may have been diminished
The once skintight face you’d own may now have wrinkles
But never once your love and spirit famished
Never once your hugs and caress lessened
You’ve had taught me well
On how to become a person I am today
My mistakes, my errs
Forgiven like rain damped the scorched
As a child I can only pray
Please God, let me one day can make hay
To be the one that my parents proud of
To never forget where I was once come out of
Everything my parents have given
Let me not be a miscreant
For all the future that will come
And when the day I have become one
Thank You God, for You have blessed I
To have them as my mom and dad
And when the day I have become one
Yearn I can be loving and caring more for my child
I love you mom and dad…
